I really enjoyed the first five books in the series. The author did a good job of character development and advancing a fairly convoluted plot. However, in the sixth book, as part of “resolving” some of the loose ends, he attempted to NOW introduce current controversial social issues, including acceptance of homosexuality (specifically in the armed forces), and also now has the main characters hopping in and out of bed with each other. Hey, the story was doing fine to that point. The author did not have to try to “rescue” it adding sexual content. Consequently, I bailed on the series.Product details

I enjoyed it read the whole series the characters got more depth as it went along.
I am ready to read the last book in this great series; this has been a very good series to read, with many great characters
The book had you entertained though out the story and keep you reading to the end so you had to see what happens next in the series of books.
Book 6 had errors throughout but was a fun read. The characters and plot have developed well. The overall plot has increased and I look forward to book 7
Yes I know they are probably important to the plot. If I missed something important by breezing over them than it is on me. On to book 7. Yes I will have read them all.
I am thoroughly enjoying this series, although all could be read as single books I have read each of the editions in order and find myself thinking in the moment. Phoenix moment that is. I am concerned what I will find to read that I enjoy as much when I run out of new books from this author. Great sci-fi, well written and only one typo in the entire series, very well edited as well as compelling story telling. Richard Sanders has written himself into a firm place as a great writer!
From the humans to the rest of the galaxy Senates are being purged, kings/queens being overthrown, Shen human or ?, Who loves who? I'm not crazy for romance books but the little touch Linda helped to look at the as real people. This series has kept me reading to well after midnight for several nights. So now I'm off to the next adventure and I can't wait to see what will happen next.
